This picture shows the eco-neighbourhood of Bonne in Grenoble, France.
It takes place on a former troop headquarter, close to the city centre. The shopping center certified 14 ecological standards as air quality, green roof. The wood used to built it come from local production. Also, there is no heating neither aircon system in the building. The parc provide green area for people, with children's playground, a basin with fishes and birds, bikes storages etc. Also, apartment blocks were designed to to save energy, with strong thermal insulation and photovoltaic panels among others. I noticed two main limits as the lack of social life (no market, no local craftspeople, no community events and shops in the mall are big chains) and a certain gentrification, unless about 39% of social housing.
